Hiya Jenn!
Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney with your walkie-talkie question! I love that you are traveling with a large group and can totally appreciate trying to keep everyone connected. It can feel like you’re coordinating your own parade down
Main Street.
So, Jenn, let’s dive right into your question! You’ll be happy to know that walkie-talkies are not on the prohibited items list of the
Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules. So, you should be able to n bring them along. Please keep in mind that security has the final say and can restrict any item if they feel it could be disruptive or harmful in any way.
Another tip that has worked really well when we are visiting my large extended family is to set a meet-up time each day. We usually pick a
dining reservation as our home base, whether for lunch or dinner, so that everyone can reconnect and share their favorite park-day moments.
If you’re staying at a
Disney Resort hotel, you can make dining reservations
60 days in advance for your entire stay (up to 10 days). If you’re staying off property, you can still book dining 60 days in advance, just one day at a time.
Since you’re visiting in July, definitely be ready for that Florida sunshine and those quick summer rain showers. Sunscreen, ponchos, and refillable water bottles will be your best friends during this time of year. You can even find water
bottle refill stations in the
My Disney Experience app, which makes staying cool and hydrated much easier.
Jenn, I hope this helps to answer your question. If you have any more questions, feel free to stop by again.
See you real soon!
Christina
