I was wondering if it’s possible to take a quinceanera photo shoot inside of the parks?

Hello Ariel! A quinceañera is such a beautiful tradition, and I can completely relate to wanting to celebrate this milestone at the Disneyland Resort. My family and I also love visiting the parks to commemorate special moments in our lives. It’s such a magical way to make memories.

As an amateur photographer myself, I’m familiar with the Disneyland Resort Rules regarding photography in the parks. While capturing memories with family and friends is absolutely encouraged, the rules state that “Photography, videotaping or recording of any kind, or otherwise engaging in any activity, for unapproved commercial purposes” is prohibited. This means that professional photo shoots are not permitted in the parks. However, feel free to snap plenty of family photos during your visit to remember your special day!

If you’re planning to wear a quinceañera dress to the parks, there’s another important detail to keep in mind. As my fellow panelist Jenn notes, attire at the Disneyland Resort must follow the Guest Attire Policies, which include a rule that dresses cannot drag on the ground. This means that full-length gowns, while stunning, wouldn’t meet the policy requirements. I recommend choosing a gown that captures the elegance of the occasion but still fits within the guidelines.

Here’s a suggestion to make your celebration extra special: take advantage of the Disney PhotoPass service! PhotoPass photographers are located at some of the most picturesque spots in the Disneyland Resort, like in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle, and they’re always ready to help you capture magical memories. You can use the Disneyland app to see where the PhotoPass photographers are located on the day of your visit, making it easy to plan your photos in advance. One of my personal favorites (besides the iconic castle) is the Mad Tea Party area—the vibrant colors and whimsical atmosphere make for truly enchanting photos!

I hope this information helps as you plan your quinceañera celebration, Ariel. If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to visit us again at planDisney. We’re always happy to help you create the most magical celebration possible.

Wishing you a truly enchanting day,
