My sister is having quinceñera. She would like to her pre-video, would that be allow. We will take out own cameras and photographers. What would I need to get permission?

    Hi there, Rosalinda!

Thank you for sending your question to planDisney. Celebrating a quinceanera is a monumental moment, and I can understand your sister's interest in getting filmed and photographed at Disneyland Resort for this special milestone.

The Disneyland Resort Park Rules prohibit photography and videotaping for unapproved commercial purposes. It might be possible for your photographer to take photos for personal use. The photographer, your sister, and anyone else in your party will need both a valid theme park ticket and park reservation for that day. The photographer should also review the current list of restricted items, as some photography accessories are often included on that list.

Disneyland Resort also has many incredible Disney PhotoPass photographers located throughout the theme parks who are happy to take a few photos of Guests. While this is not comparable to a longer photo shoot, Disney PhotoPass photographers often take a handful of fantastic photos. Some of my favorite pictures were taken by a Disney PhotoPass photographer. Your sister may want to consider purchasing Disney PhotoPass+ One Day so she can receive all of her available Disney PhotoPass photos from the day. You can find the location and hours of operation for the Disney PhotoPass photographers by downloading and opening the Disneyland mobile app and selecting the teardrop-shaped icon at the bottom to open the map. Choose "PhotoPass" from the drop-down menu at the top of the map. Some of my favorite PhotoPass spots can usually be found next to Sleeping Beauty Castle, the Grizzly Peak waterfall, and the Wheel House at Grizzly River Run.

Quinceanera dresses are so beautiful, and I bet you cannot wait to see your sister in her dress! Keep in mind that clothing that drags on the ground is not allowed in the theme parks, meaning that full-length gowns cannot be worn. I suggest wearing a more casual outfit when visiting the parks. Just check the Guest Attire Policies in the Park Rules to ensure her clothing follows the rules.

Rosalinda, I hope your sister's quinceanera celebration is everything she dreamed of (and more)! Enjoy every moment!

    Magic Happens!
