I was wondering what options i’d have if we find out our week at disney was in for pretty bad rainy weather? I’m planning on staying on the campgrounds in a tent in september, around hurricane season. Can you move the dates forward with no fees if needed?

    Hi Linda,

The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort are such a fun way to experience Disney World. It is almost like two vacations in one. You get the exhilarating experience of thrills, parades, and gourmet food at the theme parks and then come home to a relaxing camping experience right in the middle of the wilderness. I love all of the activities available at the campsites and highly recommend checking them out on your visit. My favorite part of this resort is Tri-Circle-D Ranch where you can go on a pony ride or a carriage ride like a real princess.

The cancellation policy at The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort will be the same as the rest of the Disney Resort hotels. Your options will depend on how you booked your reservation. Your reservation will either be a room-only reservation or a Disney Vacation Package that includes tickets.

If you booked your reservation as a Disney Vacation Package, you can cancel 30 days or more prior to your arrival date and receive a full refund. If you cancel 2 days to 29 days prior to arrival, the amount you paid will be refunded minus a cancellation fee of $200 per package. Cancellations made 1 day or less prior to arrival will be non-refundable. You can change your reservation date but these changes will be subject to availability, price changes for the new dates, and a change fee if date changes are made 30 days or less before arrival. Check out the full cancellation policy for all of the nuances before making any decisions.

If you made a room-only or in this instance campsite-only reservation, then you can receive a full refund if the cancellation occurs five days or more before arrival. If the cancellation is four days before arrival, you will forfeit the deposit amount. Depending on the type of reservation you make, you can make changes to your reservation online or by calling the Disney Reservation Center.

    Happy Planning,
    Jenna
