Hello Ayanna! Welcome to planDisney! You have brought such a great question to us!
My wife and I have three Disney princes that we have taken to the Walt Disney World Resort on many occasions. I have such happy memories of watching my
pre-school-aged kids celebrate when they walk up to an attraction entrance and “measure up” to ride an attraction! There was no celebration greater than when my twins finally measured up to ride Space Mountain!
While there are height requirements in place, it is important to know that
children under the age of 7 (regardless of height requirements) must be accompanied by a person 14 years or older to board an attraction at the Walt Disney World Resort. This means that someone 14 or older should be seated with the child in the same vehicle.
My wife and I found that Cast Members would always try to accommodate our young family of five on multiple attractions. Whenever possible, we would sit as “three and two.” For example, my wife would sit with two of our kids in one vehicle on Peter Pan’s Flight while I would sit with another child in another vehicle on Peter Pan’s Flight. If we couldn’t access a ride with all five at the same time, we would try to find creative ways to split up at times to make sure the boys could ride attractions with only two riders.
Ayanna, I hope this information is helpful as your family continues dreaming of your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! Please feel free to send more questions to planDisney! We’re happy to help!
Happy Planning!
