I was wondering if I should bring my own 3d glasses to the parks. The ones provided don’t fit my face and I end up with a headache. Thanks!

Hey howdy hey, Frank! Thanks for stopping by planDisney. We're glad you're here!

I hear you're making plans to visit Walt Disney World Resort and I couldn't be more excited for you! There's so much to see and do, from the nighttime spectaculars to the seasonal festivals. But most importantly, it sounds like you're looking forward to all of the attractions! I'd love to help you make the most out of your visit so you don't miss a minute of the magic.

Frank, I can certainly understand your concern. When I wear my personal glasses for too long, I can sometimes be left with headaches, which is never ideal. With that being said, it makes sense that you'd wonder if you can bring in your own 3D glasses for those attractions that offer it! However, after speaking with a Cast Member, they were able to confirm that not all attractions use the same type of 3D technology. That means that not all 3D glasses will be the same, and the 3D glasses that you bring into the parks might not cooperate well with every attraction. Additionally, this may cause a safety concern – which is something we'd never want during a visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth!

Though most attractions have larger 3D glasses that fit wider and more comfortably (Toy Story Mania! comes to mind), there might be a few attractions that offer more fitted glasses. In my personal experience, if my glasses feel a little tight, I try wearing them with the arms of the glasses on top of my ears instead of behind them (especially for a short-term solution). This sometimes takes the pressure off the sides of my head, allowing me to remain headache-free! Though your mileage may vary, this might be a temporary solution that works for you.

If you have any other questions or concerns, my best tip would be to reach out to a friendly Cast Member – either through the Chat feature online, on the phone, or in person at the beginning of the attraction. They'll be able to listen to your concerns and help you with any next steps that may be available to you.

I'm wishing upon a star that your upcoming trip is an extra special one, Frank! If you have any other questions, please visit us again.

You've got a friend in me!
