Ahoy there, Emily!
Welcome back to planDisney! What a WONDERous vacation you have booked for this summer. Sailing to
Alaska with Disney Cruise Line is one of my favorite vacation memories with my family for so many reasons! I loved experiencing this itinerary, knowing that Disney has families in mind for all the onboard fun and ashore. Although your little one won't remember it, the memories you share with him about his first cruise will be very special. There's nothing sweeter than seeing the magic of Disney through your children's eyes!
Emily, you are correct that any formula or baby food brought onboard must be prepackaged and sealed in its original container, but once you venture ashore at the ports of call, you are ok with it being opened for bringing back and forth. But, due to customs regulations, you won't be able to bring that opened formula back with you once you disembark at the Canada Place Cruise Terminal in
Vancouver. I hope this will help you plan so you aren't having to throw out a full can when the cruise is over.
I hope you find that Disney Cruise Line makes
traveling with little ones as easy as possible. If you haven't already, be sure to visit the "Special Requests" section, which can be found by logging into your cruise reservation. This is where you'll see what Disney Cruise Line can offer families with little ones. I also hope you'll take advantage of
"it's a small world" nursery! while onboard. I always recommend checking out this space during the first afternoon, as open hours are offered and the youth counselors are there to answer any questions you may have about the space. You can also book times for your son to visit, but keep in mind that this service is offered for an additional fee.
It was a pleasure helping you with your question, Emily! With a little over two months to go until you board the
Disney Wonder, we hope you'll keep us in mind if you think of anything else. We'd love to hear from you again.
