Hi Nancy,
Thanks for connecting with us here at planDisney! We have lots of bandwidth to answer questions from our fellow Guests. We are your hotspot for Disney vacation planning tips. Ok, I'll stop with Wi-Fi puns!
You will be glad to know that Wi-Fi is available on Disney Cruise Line. To use all the great features of the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app, simply connect to the onboard complimentary Wi-Fi. The complimentary Wi-Fi also allows you to send iMessage and WhatsApp messages to friends and family on the ship and back home.
If you need internet connectivity, there are three options from which to choose (terms, prices, and availability are subject to change):
- The Stay Connected package allows you to keep up with social media and even share photos. On my most recent cruise, this package was $18 per day for one day or $16 per day if purchased for your entire sailing.
- The Basic Surf package includes the ability to check email, browse the internet, and make internet voice calls. Currently, this package is $28 per day for one day or $24 per day for your entire voyage.
- The Premium Surf package includes all of the above plus faster connection speeds so you can stream short videos, play music, and make video calls. Streaming from services such as Netflix and Hulu is not permitted. This package is currently $42 per day for one day or $34 per day for your entire trip.
Once you board the ship, connect your phone to the ship's Wi-Fi and open the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. From the main page, select "Connect to Internet" for complete instructions to access internet packages and how to avoid cellular network charges while at sea. If you need assistance, the Crew Members at
Guest Services are always happy to help.
I hope this is the information you need, Nancy! Thanks for dropping by planDisney!
Wishing you many magical memories,
Shannon
