Why am I not able to purchase single lane express tickets for Tron?

    Hello there, Sandra!

Thanks for visiting us with your question. It looks like your vacation is just a few great
big, beautiful tomorrows away, and I’m sure you must be so excited! My family also has an upcoming visit, and we’ve been counting down (and planning our must-ride attractions and must-eat snacks) for weeks now.

Based on your arrival date, you’re already within your Lighting Lane purchase window. Hooray! I was up bright and early this morning to secure my own selections, so I’m happy to help you finalize your plans. I just took a quick peek at the availability for TRON Lightcycle / Run, and unfortunately, Lightning Lane Single Pass is sold out for this attraction between June 9 and June 11. There is availability on June 12 at the time of my writing, but I’m not sure how long your vacation will be or if that date works with your park touring plans.

In my experience, Single Pass options tend to sell out first as these are typically the most in-demand attractions at each park. Keep in mind that guests with eligible resort reservations can begin purchasing 7 days before their check-in date, while off-site guests can begin 3 days ahead of their ticket start date. This difference in timing can reduce the availability, especially the closer you get to your date of visit, but not to worry! You can still experience this thrilling attraction via the standby queue without any additional purchase.

I visited with a friend last fall, and we made a beeline to Tomorrowland as soon as we entered Magic Kingdom Park. The standby queue looked a bit intimidating at first as everyone was waiting in the bridge area, but once the attraction was officially up and running, the crowds were invited into the queue switchbacks, and the line moved quickly. If you are more of a Sleeping Beauty than a morning person, I recommend keeping an eye on wait times in the My Disney Experience app throughout the day. You'll notice wait times fluctuate, so I'm hopeful you'll find your perfect time to ride.

If you're visiting on a night when Magic Kingdom is open a bit later, you can also try for a late-night ride. I never miss a showing of Happily Ever After, but I sometimes watch from the right side of Main Street, U.S.A., so I can quickly head toward Tomorrowland as the finale fireworks burst over Cinderella Castle. Crowds will be dense in the hub, but if you can sneak your way out and over just as the lights turn on, you'll likely find a shorter wait with the bonus of entering the grid when the attraction is fully lit up.

Sandra, I hope these suggestions help you have a magical visit. If we can answer any additional questions, please come back to planDisney and let us know.

    Magic and memories,
    Amy
