    Why can’t I book for January 2026?

Hiya Sara! Thanks for stopping by planDisney! I'm always happy to help a fellow Palmetto State resident.

While it's never too early to start planning for your Walt Disney World vacation, you will have to wait a bit until you can officially book it. Walt Disney World typically releases vacation packages sometime in late spring or early summer for the following year. This timeline is based on previous years, so I suggest following along with the Disney Parks Blog for any updates or announcements. You never know if Disney will decide to throw a curveball and release them earlier than in years past.

Once bookings become available, there are plenty of ways to do so. The easiest way is to visit the Walt Disney World website and use the "Build Your Vacation" toolbar on the top of the main page. Using this tool, you will enter the required information and begin creating your vacation. You'll choose your Disney Resorts hotel, theme park ticket package, and any additional add-ons (such as the Disney Dining Plan) that you prefer. The process takes only a few minutes and you can quickly book your January stay. You can also call the Walt Disney World Resort and speak to a Cast Member. These individuals can book your entire vacation package over the phone and answer any questions you may have.

While you wait, now is the perfect time to start planning all the magical aspects of your trip. You can start deciding which Disney Resorts hotel will be best for this stay. One of my personal favorites is Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. It has many perks going for it, including sitting along the Disney Skyliner path for easy access to EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios. The theming is incredible, including the main lobby and pool area. I love going for early morning walks around this resort and taking in all the beautiful sights and sounds.

Sara, I hope you have a great time planning for your trip! Stop back and see us again at planDisney!

    Happy planning!
    Greg
