My whole family is traveling and we wanted to make a reservation for cinderellas royal table. We are a party of 14, do we have to make two separate reservations?

    Hi, Lisa!  Welcome to planDisney!

How exciting that you'll be visiting Walt Disney World Resort with your whole family!  I'm sure you'll make some magical memories together, and I think a quintessential Disney dining experience like Cinderella's Royal Table sounds perfect for your group.

I often visit Walt Disney World Resort with a big group of my fellow planDisney panelists.  Although making dining reservations for a large party can be a bit challenging, it's certainly doable.  My friends and I have found that while the website and the My Disney Experience mobile app will let you select up to 20 as the number of Guests in your party, it is extremely rare to find reservations for parties larger than six or eight people.  This is simply due to the fact that most Walt Disney World Resort restaurants do not have many tables large enough to accommodate groups exceeding eight Guests.  I do think that your best bet for securing your dining reservations is to split your party up into two or three smaller groups.

I would recommend getting together with one or two other family members from your travel party when it is time to make your dining reservations.  Each of you can make a reservation at your desired restaurant, and be sure to look for reservation times that are as close as possible.  When you check in for your dining reservations, be sure to let the Cast Member know that your parties are together.  While there is no guarantee that you can be seated together, my friends and I have found that the Cast Members will do their best to seat our smaller parties at nearby tables.

There really is nothing quite like dining in regal splendor with your favorite Disney Princesses at Cinderella's Royal Table.  However, when it comes to making dining reservations for a big group, my planDisney pals and I have found some hidden gem restaurants where we've had luck finding accommodations for a large dining party.  Boma - Flavors of Africa, Ale & Compass Restaurant, and Grand Floridian Cafe are great options for larger groups.  Be sure to also consider quick-service dining options if you want to skip having to book reservations.  Satu'li Canteen and Connections Eatery are two of my favorite quick-service dining locations, and for added convenience, be sure to use mobile food and beverage orders.

Lisa, I hope you and your family have the most magical vacation ever!  If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to ask.  See ya real soon!
