Adventure is out there, Julie, and so is planDisney! I'm glad you stopped by with this great question. Your Wilderness Explorers are lucky to have a pack leader like you! I don't know how large your group would be for your
Walt Disney World Resort visit, but I have some suggestions for you.
Julie, group rates are available for parties needing ten or more
Disney Resort Hotel rooms. Most standard rooms accommodate four or five people, so if your scouting group requires ten or more rooms, contact Disney Group Getaways at (407) 939-1942. The Cast Member I spoke with on this line said they would help you book your rooms at a group discount, and then you would be provided a discount code for purchasing theme park tickets for your group.
If you would not need ten hotel rooms, then the Cast Member said you would book the rooms you need on the Walt Disney World website using your
My Disney Experience account. You would also purchase
Theme Park Tickets online but know that you can only purchase up to 20 tickets per transaction. So if you need more than 20 park tickets, you will purchase them in separate transactions.
Once your theme park tickets are secured, remember to make
Theme Park Reservations for each day of your visit, and you will be eligible to
make dining reservations 60 days in advance. Most restaurants will allow you to make reservations for up to 20 guests at a time, but those reservations might be challenging to secure. I suggest dividing your group into smaller groups of six or so.
If your troop isn't eligible for group pricing, you can keep an eye on the
Special Offers page to see if you would qualify for any current offers for park tickets and resort rooms. One tip is that park tickets decrease in price the more days you buy.
Julie, planning a trip for a large group entails some extra planning, but the results will be amazing. I'm sure the girls in your troop will present you with a Grape Soda Pin Badge for your efforts! Please
stop by planDisney with any questions. I'd love to help.
Magic awaits,
Elaine
