We've heard you can book a food experience evening at the polynesian. We will not be resort residents. Is this still possible, and if so how do we go around booking that?

Hiya, Wayne! It's great to see you again at planDisney. I hope our past advice has been helpful as you're planning a practically perfect vacation at Walt Disney World Resort! It's my pleasure to share some dining details that will add extra flavor and fun to your stay. Let's get right to it!

Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is one of my favorite locations at Walt Disney World Resort. It's where our family stayed on my very first trip "Home" way back in the early 80s, and nowadays, I'm so happy to call it our Disney Vacation Club Home Resort! The location is incredible, and the tropical theming makes me feel so relaxed - as soon as we set foot in the Great Ceremonial House, I feel like vacation has officially started!

Wayne, one of the main draws at the Polynesian in the evening is dinner at 'Ohana. This all-you-care-to-enjoy experience featuring Hawaiian and Asian-inspired cuisine is very popular, and I'm wondering if this is what you're referring to in your question. Guests can make dining reservations beginning 60 days before their desired date online or by calling. We also love Kona Cafe at the Polynesian, which serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The Macadamia Nut Pancakes are my absolute favorite breakfast choice at Walt Disney World - it's always our final vacation meal!

It is totally fine if you are not staying at the Polynesian - Guests may visit other resorts to dine there any time! You will need to plan travel to the resort, but luckily there are many ways to get there. You can take the Monorail or a boat from Magic Kingdom Park, or if you're driving to your dinner reservation you can park at the resort. The security guards at the entrance will verify that you have a reservation and you'll be able to park there for a few hours - long enough to enjoy dinner and check out the shops!

I hope this information is helpful for your planning purposes, Wayne! Thanks a bunch for making another trip to planDisney - I am certain that you're going to have a most magical vacation. Please come see us again anytime if we can help with additional questions!

    See Ya Real Soon!
