Hi! If I have tickets to a night time party at Magic Kingdom but I don’t have day time park tickets, could I get in a little earlier for a 5pm dinner reservation?

Hi there, Pooja, and welcome to planDisney! It sounds like you’re getting ready to party the night away at Walt Disney World Resort! Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or a holiday, there’s no place to party like the Most Magical Place on Earth!

Pooja, if you have tickets to an after-hours party like Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party or Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, you’ll be thrilled to know that you can enter Magic Kingdom Park as early as 4:00pm, even though the party doesn't officially start until later. You’ll receive a wristband upon entry to designate you as a party guest and ensure you’ll be able to enjoy all of the festivities. You’re welcome to spend your time in the park however you like, and that includes enjoying dinner at a table service restaurant. The earliest time I’d choose for an Advance Dining Reservation is 4:30pm, because it’s important to give yourself plenty of time to navigate through park entry - any earlier, and you might feel rushed.

If I might offer a suggestion for party day, it would be to sleep in late that morning, eat a big brunch at a place like Topolino’s Terrace, then enjoy a super early dinner somewhere on the Monorail, like Gasparilla Island Grill at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, around 3:00pm. Then, you can head into Magic Kingdom Park where all you’ll need to do is enjoy the party! I love to maximize my time at events like this, because there are so many unique experiences like parades and performances. You’ll even find plenty of seasonal snacks to try in case you start getting hungry.

Be sure to check the Disney Parks Blog for the latest updates about new and seasonal offerings at Walt Disney World Resort! And if you have any questions, please feel free to reach back out to us here at planDisney!

    See you real soon!
