Hi Leslie, welcome to planDisney!
Congrats on discovering the key to happiness. While the rest of the world settles into a post-holiday slump, you're entering the final stages of your Walt Disney World Resort countdown! My best tip for your January visit is to consult the 10-day forecast when packing your suitcase. I've gone from wearing shorts to wearing a winter coat and gloves on the same January visit. If you happen to be staying at a
Disney Resort hotel, pack your bathing suit because the pools are heated and ready for action.
Your late-January visit gives you access to my favorite EPCOT festival, the
EPCOT International Festival of the Arts. Your theme park admission doubles as a Broadway ticket when you attend a
DISNEY ON BROADWAY Concert Series event. Caissie Levy and Patti Murin, the original Elsa and Anna from Frozen on Broadway, will be taking the stage at America Gardens Theatre on January 22 and 23. Other talented duos appear during your visit, as well. Some additional festival highlights include the creative bites found at the Food Studios and a variety of performances that really bring the arts to life. My daughter will never forget the time she posed for a picture with a golden statue, only to have that statue come to life and take an Anna doll right out of her hands, haha!
If you're looking to plus an already magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation, a couple of
Disney After Hours events are scheduled during your January visit, Leslie. Disney After Hours events are perfect for night owls looking to experience a park with low crowds, low attraction wait times, and complimentary snacks. Disney After Hours at Magic Kingdom Park is scheduled for January 22 and Disney After Hours at Disney's Hollywood Studios is scheduled for January 24. Tickets can currently be purchased
online.
Enchanting Extras Collection experiences are my favorite way to add pixie dust to any Walt Disney World Resort vacation. One of my children's Christmas presents was the
Up Close with Rhinos Tour for our January visit. They can't wait to go backstage at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park; I can't wait for them to have an unforgettable learning experience.
No two Walt Disney World Resort vacations are alike, Leslie. Enjoy making your trip a you-nique experience. Please return to planDisney with any other trip-planning questions.
Choose magic,
Jennifer
