Howdy Nicole and welcome to planDisney!
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground is my favorite Resort at Walt Disney World! It's almost like a home away from home as I've been camping there since I was a little girl. I love taking my own kids now to create new Fort Wilderness memories with them. It's such a great place to spend your vacation or just pop over for the day to experience one of the many activities that only The Fort offers.
Most
Walt Disney World Resort hotels offer an evening campfire, but Fort Wilderness is the only one that is visited by Chip and Dale!
Chip 'n' Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long happens nightly and is such a fun way to have a unique experience at Walt Disney World. You can bring your own items to make s'mores or buy them from the Chuckwagon Snack Bar right at the campfire. Bring a blanket with you and get cozy for
Movies Under the Stars afterwards! The schedule varies based on what season it is, but it is usually held around 7:00 PM in the fall and winter and then around 8:00 PM in the spring and summer, weather permitting. You can
give a call to a friendly Cast Member in recreation to find out the schedule for when you'll be visiting next.
There are lots of
Enchanting Extras that you can do during your visit to Fort Wilderness, like my daughter's favorite,
horseback riding, or my son's favorite,
archery! I really enjoyed the
Wilderness Back Trail Adventure on Segweys when I was visiting with a few of my girlfriends. You can also enjoy a lively dinner show at
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue. Make sure you save room for dessert!
Please
stop back by and visit if you have any additional vacation planning questions.
Have a magical day!
Leslie
