The website says no fireworks daily. And I found only Star Wars & Mickey Magic fireworks on schedule. Are these the only ones? I always pictured seeing the glamorous fireworks by the castle, like classic Disneyland. Hoping for a memorable visit.

    Hiya Stefanny,

Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for submitting your question to us!

Fireworks are a glamorous event that defines the Disney experience! Fireworks can be experienced in both Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort, but there are some differences, such as the shows and schedule. But no matter the time of year, you’re sure to enjoy a magical fireworks display that is both memorable and unique at the Disneyland Resort.

Disneyland Resort has a nighttime show each night, but the show typically only has fireworks included on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays (dates subject to change). These are larger guest visit dates, so the fireworks show only occurs on weekends. They will have the projections and music each day by Sleeping Beauty Castle, but since your visit date falls on a Tuesday, this may be why you don’t see a fireworks show listed on the Hours & Events Calendar.

The time of year also impacts which fireworks show will be played in Disneyland Park. The beloved return of Mickey’s Mix Magic returned after the Holidays at Disneyland Resort and was scheduled until the commencement of the Star Wars Season of the Force. This show is a technicolor display of projections, lasers, and our favorite Disney classic songs that had guests dancing down Main Street, U.S.A!

Your visit date will coincide with the Star Wars Season of the Force, a galactic celebration of the beloved Star Wars saga! Disneyland Park will honor our favorite Jedis and heroes with themed food and beverages, rare character sightings, and Fire of the Rising Moons with Fireworks on select nights (subject to change)!

This show is estimated to go through May 2024, when Pixar Fest takes over Disneyland Park. In June 2024, the nighttime spectacular will change to “Together Forever - A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular” which showcases the importance of friendship and adventure! “Adventure is out there!” This show had me crying at the retelling of our favorite Pixar Studios films, and I’m sure you would love it too!

I’m sorry you may not see the fireworks show you wanted. I encourage you to follow Disney Parks Blog as they will be the first to post about new celebrations and fireworks shows in the parks, so you can plan a visit during a specific time of year! Either way, I’m sure you’ll get to have that magical experience you’ve always dreamed of! We’ll see ya real soon!

If you have other questions about the Disneyland Resort, remember - you’ve got a friend in me!
