My family is hoping to plan a visit sometime this fall, and want to be there for the Magic Happens parade, as well as the Wondrous Journeys fireworks. The Disneyland Halloween time dates begin August 23rd; wondering if these events will stop on that day?

A warm welcome from all of us at planDisney to you, Vanessa. We're so glad you stopped by to share your question with us. The nighttime spectaculars and live entertainment are unmatched at the Disneyland Resort so I can definitely understand and relate to your desire to catch these two experiences during your visit.

Calling all dreamers! The "Magic Happens" Parade is a must-see and should not be missed during your visit to the Disneyland Resort. I visited during Halloween Time last year and I am happy to share that this whimsical parade was still running during the day. Of course, there's no guarantee that it will continue to be offered throughout Halloween Time this year. No end date has been specified and I recommend keeping an eye on Disney Parks Blog for any updates. You can also check the Entertainment Schedule as we get closer to your visit dates to see if this parade will be offered. Let's hope that history repeats itself and that we will be able to enjoy the "Magic Happens" Parade throughout the spooky season.

When it comes to the nighttime spectacular, Wondrous Journeys, last year we did see this experience make its final performance just before the beginning of Halloween Time at the resort. This made room to usher in the seasonal fright-tacular, Halloween Screams. This announcement came in a post from Disney Parks Blog about all the spooktacular things to come during the Halloween season at the end of May last year. I imagine (and hope) that we will hear some ghoulishly good news soon.

Halloween Time is one of my favorite times of the year to visit the Disneyland Resort. The fall decorations around the parks are gourd-geous and really get you into the spirit of things. There's nothing better than walking through the tunnel at the park entrance and seeing the giant Mickey pumpkin greeting you. Pure magic!

Vanessa, I hope this helps as you are making your plans to visit and I hope we hear some news soon. Please come back to visit us for any other help as you continue to plan. Here's wishing you a most magical visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!

    Happy planning!
