Hi Monica, and welcome back to planDisney. Thanks for your great question. Like you, I’ll also be spending Thanksgiving at the
Most Magical Place on Earth this year, and I’ve been doing a little research myself, so you’ve definitely come to the right place.
.
Over the years, several restaurants across Walt Disney World Resort have offered special Thanksgiving menus, though many of those are located inside the parks. In the past, that has included Liberty Tree Tavern and The Diamond Horseshoe in Magic Kingdom Park, Garden Grill Restaurant in EPCOT, Hollywood & Vine in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Tusker House Restaurant in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Since you’ll be enjoying a non-park stay, you’ll want to focus on
Disney Resorts and
Disney Springs dining, and the good news is that there are always great options.
At the resorts, places like
Whispering Canyon Café at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and
Ale & Compass Restaurant at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort have been known to feature seasonal offerings for the holiday. Over at Disney Springs, restaurants such as
Rainforest Café,
The Edison,
Wine Bar George, and most recently
Summer House on the Lake (among others) have also offered prix fixe menus or Thanksgiving-inspired dishes. As with most holiday dining, the menus and details are usually released a bit closer to the date, so I’d recommend keeping a close eye on the dining section of the Walt Disney World website and the
My Disney Experience app as Thanksgiving approaches. Availability moves quickly, so it’s always smart to check regularly once you’re inside your dining reservation window.
I hope these points point you and your family in the right direction for securing a Thanksgiving-quality meal, whether at a Disney Resort hotel or one of the many restaurants at Disney Springs. If you have any other planning questions as your trip gets closer, please come back to planDisney and
ask away.
See you real soon,
Brent
