Hi, we are going to WDW for the first time and wanted to go for the most magical time of year Christmas! We will be there for the whole holiday and wanted to know do Disney decorate your hotel room or is this is something we can arrange to get done?

Hi there, Shannon and a holly jolly welcome to planDisney!

You’re visiting Walt Disney World Resort at the most wonderful time of the year, and I’m so excited to help you sprinkle a little extra holiday cheer on your trip.

While Disney Resorts Collection hotel rooms don’t come pre-decked with boughs of holly, there are some merry options to help make your room feel festive. For a bit of magic delivered right to your resort, take a peek at the options available through In-Room Floral & Gifts. From floral arrangements to gift baskets and balloons, they offer seasonal touches to make your spirits bright! Keep in mind that these items are offered by a third-party provider and will be delivered to your resort's Front Desk for pickup rather than directly to your room.

If you’re feeling inspired to bring some personal decorations from home, you can certainly do so. Just be sure to avoid taping or hanging anything that might damage doors, walls or fixtures. Think stockings hung with care on the dresser draw pulls or small, battery-operated lights that add a holiday glow without mistletoe.

Another fun option is checking out Facebook groups, like Ear for Each Other, made up of talented locals and former Cast Members. These holiday helpers may offer services to deliver decor items to your resort. These groups are not directly affiliated with Walt Disney World Resort, but it’s a great way to support the local community and add even more sparkle to your stay!

You'll discover that the parks, resorts and even Disney Springs will be brimming with holiday cheer, so even if your resort room isn't as merry & bright as your living room back home, there will be plenty of decor to enjoy during your visit. The incredible gingerbread display at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is a sight to behold and a perfect place to stock up on some very merry seasonal snacks. A tour of the towering trees at resorts like Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is guaranteed to keep you in the spirit all season long! Be sure to check out the Disney Eats Foodie Guide for sweet and savory snacks across property that would satisfy even Santa himself. I'm already making my list (and checking it twice) of all the treats I hope to enjoy on my upcoming visit.

I hope this helped, Shannon. Please jingle on back with more questions as you countdown to your trip. We're always here to help, just like Santa's elves.

May your days (and your stay) be merry & bright!
