Hi Brian! I’m so happy to welcome you to planDisney! One of the things I love most about Walt Disney World Resort is that the magic extends well beyond the theme parks. Resort hopping is one of the hidden gems of a Walt Disney World vacation! There are
over 25 themed resort hotels, and each one has its own unique story and atmosphere worth seeing.
Parking at the Transportation & Ticket Center is a great plan! From there you can take the monorail to any of the three monorail resort hotels, which include
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort,
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and
Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Each of those three have some of the best dining, lounges, and shopping at Walt Disney World, so they are all worthy of a visit! You can also take the monorail to Magic Kingdom and take a bus to other resort hotels from there.
I do need to let you know that starting June 28, you will have to have a reservation at a Disney resort hotel or a reservation for dining or an Enchanted Extra in order to board a bus or boat from
Disney Springs to the resort hotels. If you plan to visit Disney Springs, you will need to make other arrangements for transportation when you leave, if you don’t have any reservations.
Brian, I'm sending you pixie dust for a magical visit to Walt Disney World Resort! I hope you try some amazing food and drinks and find the best souvenirs when you visit the resort hotels. If you have any more questions,
stop back by and see me here at planDisney. I love helping plan Disney vacations that are “practically perfect in every way!”
Magically,
Casey
