Hi Kelsey, and welcome to planDisney! We’re so happy you stopped by with this question. I know the upcoming changes to transportation policies at Disney Springs can feel a little uncertain right now since they haven’t fully taken effect, but we’re here at planDisney to help navigate all of those changes.
Beginning June 28, only Guests with a Disney resort hotel reservation, advance dining reservation, or reservation for an
Enchanting Extra will be permitted to board buses and boats departing from Disney Springs to the resort hotels. With that in mind, we’ll need to think about some alternatives, so you can continue your wonderful family tradition of visiting
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter for beignets.
One option would be to use
Minnie Van™ service from Disney Springs to the resort hotel. This can be set up using the Lyft app. A fun alternate option, if time allows, and one that could add to your family tradition would be to set up a
horse-drawn carriage ride at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - Riverside. This is an Enchanting Extra and a wonderful way to explore the beautiful atmosphere at the resort. Carriage rides can hold up to four adults
or two adults and three children. The current cost is $65 (subject to change). It would make a wonderful evening to take a boat from Disney Springs, enjoy a carriage ride, and then finish with beignets!
Kelsey, I hope this gives you some options to continue your family tradition and maybe even add a little extra magic. If you have any more questions, come back and see us at planDisney.
See you around the bayou,
Casey
