Hey there, Stephanie! Thanks so much for visiting us here at planDisney. Let me offer my congratulations to you and your family for your son's upcoming wedding and subsequent
honeymoon! My wife and I had our honeymoon at Walt Disney World Resort, too, so your son is in for a treat as he and his spouse begin their lives together at The Most Magical Place on Earth. In-room dining is available at Disney World, so let's dive into the details to see where you can order and what is on the menu.
At this time,
room service is offered exclusively to guests who are staying at
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. You can view the hours, menus, and pricing online, and I see some scrumptious offerings that are perfect for a special celebration.
If your son was planning to stay at a different Disney Resort hotel, you may want to let him know about the
Mobile Order option that is available at a variety of dining locations. While it's not quite the same as dining from the comfort of your room, you can grab food to go and bring it back to create your own kind of room service. To Mobile Order, open the
My Disney Experience app, tap the plus sign in the middle of the bottom ribbon menu, and select "Order Food." From there, filter for the resort where you're staying or would like to pick up from and begin an order at the restaurant of your choice. I was heartened to see both Quick Service and Table Service to-go options, so there is quite a variety of menu items available via Mobile Order. Awesome!
Dining options aside, I do want to make some quick recommendations for you as you plan this sweet honeymoon for your son. Remind him to pick up his "Happily Ever After" celebration button from the front desk of his resort hotel. My wife and I wore these on our honeymoon and enjoyed the shout outs from Cast Members and our fellow guests. In addition to (or in lieu of) room service, consider treating your son and his spouse to a meal at one of Disney's
signature dining restaurants. I had an incredible experience at
Narcoossee's at the Grand Floridian, and I am still dreaming about that Almond-crusted Cheesecake. Finally, take a peak at the list of
Enchanting Extras that are on offer. Maybe your son would like to go on a horse drawn carriage ride, take a wine tasting class, or decorate a cake with his partner. There is something for everyone on this list, and these activities are a great way to plus up an already special vacation.
Ok, Stephanie! I hope that helps you plan out room service and other activities for your son's honeymoon. Please visit us again if you need additional suggestions for this special occasion. I'd love to share more of my top tips and beloved experiences with you.
Stay magical,
Scott
