I will be visiting WDW in late April 2025, staying at a Disney Resort. I plan on going to dinner at the Polynesian and Animal Kingdom on two of the nights. Can I drive my car to the resorts and park there instead of taking Disney transportation ?

Howdy, Arliet!  We’re thrilled to have you mosey on over to planDisney with your dining and transportation questions.

Your magical Walt Disney World getaway is almost here, and I can only imagine the excitement building!

If you have Advanced Dining Reservations at one of the Disney Resort hotels, you’ll be happy to know that complimentary parking is allowed for up to three hours while you enjoy your meal. This applies whether you're indulging in a fine dining experience or grabbing a quick bite at one of the quick service dining locations.

Be sure to have your dining reservation confirmation ready to show at the security gate when arriving at the resort. And while the three-hour parking window is perfect for most meals, if you're hoping to explore the resort a bit or go over to a nearby park, I recommend using complimentary Disney transportation afterward to avoid any parking restrictions.

If you’re hoping to spend more time exploring the resorts beyond the standard 3-hour dining parking window, here are a couple of magical alternatives that give you flexibility and peace of mind:

Park at the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC), which is just a short Monorail ride away from Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. Since parking at the TTC isn’t timed, you’ll be free to enjoy your meal, explore the resort’s tropical vibes, and even take a Monorail ride to Magic Kingdom without feeling rushed. It’s a relaxed, scenic way to extend your evening!

You can also park at Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park and hop on a bus to the Lodge. There’s no time limit once you’re inside the theme park parking lot, so you’ll have the freedom to enjoy the resort’s gorgeous savanna views, indulge in delicious dining at Boma or Jiko, all without watching the clock.

Let me know if you’d like help picking a must-try restaurant or figuring out the best route for getting from one resort to another. The magic is calling, and your adventure awaits!
