Hi Jennifer!
Welcome to planDisney! I’m so happy you stopped by with this question as visiting the different resorts at the holidays is one of my favorite things to do! Have you been to
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa to see their tree and giant gingerbread house before? It’s simply breathtaking and all of that gingerbread makes the lobby smell amazing!
When resort hopping to explore
Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort or any other property, there are a few things to keep in mind with your transportation options.
Complimentary parking at hotels in the Disney Resorts Collection is available for registered Guests and those enjoying select dining, recreation, and entertainment options. I have experienced times when we’ve been unable to park at a resort we wanted to explore because we didn’t have a reservation for a specific restaurant or activity there. If you’re dining at
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue or have reserved one of the many
recreational activities at Fort Wilderness, you should be able to park without a problem. You may find the
Holiday Sleigh Rides a fun and festive choice!
Another option you have is to use Disney’s
complimentary resort transportation to get from
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort to Fort Wilderness. The Walt Disney World Resort Monorail can take you to Magic Kingdom Park and from there you can
take a water taxi to Fort Wilderness! It may take a little longer, but the ride across Seven Seas Lagoon is really beautiful and quite relaxing.
Jennifer, I hope you enjoy all of the
holiday offerings around Walt Disney World Resort during your visit this year! If you have any other questions, please stop by to see us again here at planDisney!
Cheers!
Kristi
