Hi Pollyanna!
Thanks for cruising over to planDisney for more information on enjoying the best of both worlds when you combine your
Disney Cruise Line vacation with a stay at
Walt Disney World Resort! I often find myself having a hard time deciding which Disney destination to visit and can personally attest to the fact that a
Land & Sea vacation is a choice you'll be very happy you made!
Pollyanna, you have a few choices when adding a pre- and post-cruise stay at Walt Disney World Resort to your cruise from
Port Canaveral. The easiest option is to
call a Disney Cruise Line representative who can work with you on
adding your resort stay and ground transportation to your existing Disney Cruise Line reservation. You could also visit the Walt Disney World Resort website to
book your own hotel stays before and after your cruise and then reach out to Disney Cruise Line to
add your ground transportation. Since it sounds like you only want a single park ticket during each stay, you will likely
purchase your tickets separately instead of as a package with your hotel stay.
Now that you're ready to plan your resort stay, the fun part begins - selecting which hotels you want to enjoy in the
Disney Resorts Collection! If you're looking for options that are closest to the theme parks and provide many amenities to extend that luxurious and restful time on the cruise ship, you may want to check out the Deluxe Resorts.
Disney's Contemporary Resort has been one of my favorites with its close proximity to Magic Kingdom Park, but I'm also partial to
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge when I want to feel like I'm escaping to my own little retreat. Both resorts also have fabulous dining options including my favorite breakfast at Walt Disney World Resort which is found at
Boma - Flavors of Africa inside Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. Other great choices are
Disney's Caribbean Beach and
Disney's Pop Century Resort which both have easy access to EPCOT, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and
Disney's BoardWalk courtesy of the
Disney Skyliner. With more than two dozen options, there really is something for everyone! Regardless of where you choose to stay, you'll enjoy many
fantastic benefits including Early Theme Park Entry to make the most of your day in the parks.
Pollyanna, I hope this information is helpful as you continue planning for what promises to be a magical vacation next year! If you have any other questions, please stop by to see us again here at planDisney!
Cheers,
Kristi
