Ahoy Jacqueline!
Welcome to planDisney! It won't be long until you are setting sail on your Disney Cruise Line vacation! Don't forget to check
when you can start booking all of your onboard activities and Port Adventures as some activities are very popular and fill quickly. One reservation I always grab is a dinner at one of the adult-exclusive restaurants, such as
Palo. The food and atmosphere are incredible - a great way to spend an evening!
Jacqueline, Disney Gift Cards are the perfect way to budget for your cruise. Whether you've received them as gifts or are purchasing some each month to save towards your expenses, you'll find them widely accepted around Disney destinations. When on your ship, you can absolutely use gift cards to pay for alcoholic drinks and specialty coffees. I like to charge everything to my stateroom so I take my gift cards to Guest Services early in the cruise and apply them to my onboard account. That way, my room charges go to the gift cards first before charging to my card on file. If you want fewer gift cards to manage on your cruise, you can always combine their values on the
Disney Gift Card website. Here you can enter gift card information and then transfer funds all to one card (up to $1000). You can also purchase Onboard Credit before sailing using your Disney Gift Card. Simply visit
Onboard Gifts and then select "Shop by Category" followed by "Onboard Credit."
Speaking of specialty coffees, make sure to stop by
Cove Café located near the Quiet Cove Pool in the adults-only section of the pool deck. On my most recent cruise, my friends and I enjoyed meeting up here for cocktails or coffee throughout our vacation. You can sometimes even find seasonal brews here such as Cookies & Cocoa I enjoyed on our
Very Merrytime Cruise. The Espresso Martinis are also a fabulous choice!
Jacqueline, I hope you enjoy a wonderful cruise! If you have any other questions, please stop by to see us again here at planDisney!
SEA ya real soon,
Kristi
