Hi Jessica!
Thanks for bringing this question to planDisney!
You will need one
Lightning Lane Multi Pass per park day for each member of your travel party who will be using the service. If you have a valid
park hopper ticket linked to your My Disney Experience account, you can use that one pass across as many parks as you’d like during your park day (pending Lightning Lane availability). Here’s a quick recap of how Lightning Lane Multi Pass works with a park hopper.
Once your Lightning Lane booking window opens, you will be able to choose 3 Lightning Lane pre-selections per park day. Each park day will be a separate transaction.
You’ll want to purchase the Lightning Lane Multi Pass for the park where you’d like those pre-selections to be, since all 3 pre-selections need to be at the same park. That can be the first park you visit of the day or a park you’re going to hop to…your choice!
On your park day, once you scan into your very first Lightning Lane of the day using Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you’ll be able to book any other available Lightning Lane in any other park. At that time, you’ll also be able to modify any existing Lightning Lanes to any other available Lightning Lane in any park if you’d like.
It’s good to note that in addition to Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you can also purchase up to two Lightning Lane Single Passes per park day. And those two Single Passes do not need to be at the same park if you’re using a park hopper.
Lightning Lane services are subject to availability, so I recommend booking as soon as your booking window opens. If you’re staying at a
Disney World resort or select good neighbor hotel, your booking window will open at 7 AM Eastern, 7 days prior to your resort check-in date. If you’re staying off property, your booking window will open at 7 AM Eastern, 3 days prior to the start date of your ticket for date-based tickets.
I hope that helps! Let us know if you have any other questions as you continue to plan!
