Do children under the age of 3 need a lightning lane pass to skip the standby queue?

Hiya, Jeremy! Thanks for visiting planDisney with your question.

Young guests under the age of three at Walt Disney World Resort are guests of Mickey Mouse himself. This magic continues by allowing guests under the age of three to accompany an older guest free of charge when the older guest has purchased a Lighting Lane Pass. Since only guests ages three years old and older require a theme park admission ticket, they are the only ones in your group who would need to purchase Lighting Lane Passes to use that option. Little ones can happily tag along with older guests, as long as they meet the height requirement for the attraction or ride. As someone with a child in the 99th percentile for height since the day he was born, I often let the Cast Member know as I was tapping into the ride that they were still under age three. I hope this helps, Jeremy!

Did you know that you can use the My Disney Experience Mobile App to find rides that fit your group's needs? In the app, navigate to the resort map by clicking the pin drop icon which is second to the left on the bottom of the home screen. From here, set the map to the attractions category and click the filter option in the top left. You can filter attractions by thrill rides, age, height, interests, and more. This is an awesome tool for multi-generational trips or trips with smaller Mouseketeers!

Thanks again for your question, Jeremy! Please let me know if there is anything else I can help with.

    Wishing you magic,
    Melissa
