Hey, howdy, hey Jennifer, and welcome to planDisney. The Disney Water Parks are a family favorite because we enjoy exciting attractions while relaxing our feet. It is tough to go several days in a row pounding theme park pavement so having a little bit of rest and relaxation to break up our trip is practically, perfect in every way.
As of now, there are no open dates for either
Disney Water Park from October 29 onward. I suspect it is likely due to the scheduling of the refurbishment of
Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon and potentially the reopening of Disney’s
Blizzard Beach Water Park. Again this is my opinion and not documented or published fact. However, if we look at last year, we can see that Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon closed on November 13, 2022, the same day as Disney's Blizzard Beach reopened. Disney's Blizzard Beach closed on March 19, 2023, the same day Disney's Typhoon Lagoon reopened. So there is a pattern as water parks need special attention for maintenance. My advice is to follow the
Disney Parks Blog as well as the landing pages for Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon and Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Parks.
planDisney Pro Tip: My favorite tip about water parks is that you should wear sandals or some sort of foot covering when you are walking around the water park because the walkways get very hot in the Florida sun. You can always leave your footwear at the entrance to the attraction and pick them up after you finish your splashtastic journey.
Jennifer, I hope we see some news really soon about the Disney Water Parks. Please stop by planDisney for more Disney vacation tips and feel free to
write me back directly with any follow-up questions.
Enjoy making many Magical Memories.
