Kristin,
Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!
If your schedule allows it, the Water Parks and Sports Option is a great way to see more of Walt Disney World, and all the fun that exists outside the theme parks.
As you mentioned, when you purchase a theme park
ticket package with the
Water Parks and Sports Option, or the
Park Hopper Plus Option, you have a specific range of days to redeem the theme park admissions. As it happens, you do have to use those “plus” activities within that range of dates as well. So, if you have a 4-day theme park package, you have 7 days to redeem all of the 4 theme park admissions, as well as the four added non-theme park activities, like visiting
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park or playing a round at Winter Summerland Miniature Golf (after 4 pm). If you opt for the 5-day theme park package, you then would have an 8-day window to redeem all those passes.
Hopefully, this will help you plan out your visit to the magic!
BONUS TIP #1If you would like to plus up your water park visit, you might want to consider booking one of the reserved spaces, like the Beachcomber Shack or the Umbrella reservations at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.
Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park has similar options as well. Call
(407) WDW-PLAY or
(407) 939-7529 to make a reservation.
BONUS TIP #2Before you ask, no, you do not need to make a Theme Park Reservation using the
Disney Park Pass System for a water park visit.
Please feel free to
write me back directly if you have any follow-up questions.
Have a Magical Vacation!
