We are visiting in November to attend MVMCP and the new Jollywood Nights! This will be our first time visiting Disney as a couple. One of us has a gluten intolerance, and I was wondering if these parties offered gluten-free cookies/snacks?

    Hi Jerry,

Wishing you a holly jolly, very merry welcome back to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by again.

How exciting to celebrate the holidays with your special someone at two special Walt Disney World Resort events! I never miss the opportunity to attend Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, and I have my fingers crossed Disney Jollywood Nights will be an early Christmas gift!

Jerry, I checked with Cesar, a Walt Disney World Cast Member, and he confirmed that gluten-free options will be available at both special ticketed events. Now, complimentary cookies are offered at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, so when you arrive at the treat stations around the Magic Kingdom park, let the Cast Member know of your need, and they can assist with an alternate snack. At the moment, complimentary snacks have not been announced as part of Disney Jollywood nights, but there are several specialty items for purchase. Again, please let a Cast Member know that you require gluten-free items, and they will assist you with possible options.

Jerry, did you know that when you make an Advanced Dining Reservation, you can indicate that you have a special dietary request? This information will be noted in your reservation. Once you arrive, whether or not you indicated your dietary request previously, ask to speak to a chef or a special diets-trained Cast Member who can share more about the menu.

Likewise, you can ask Cast Members at Quick Service and snack locations for allergy-friendly options, but it is possible that this information is not available at every location. I suggest you download the My Disney Experience app and explore the various Quick Service options through Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering. If a location offers Gluten/Wheat Allergy-Friendly options, you will find them by scrolling to the bottom of the menu. This is a win-win way to find the best options for your situation and save time by ordering in advance!

I hope this information brings some holly jolly joy to your plans! If you would like more tips on making the most of your time at either of these merry events, write back and let me know! I’m always happy to help.

    Cheers!
    Shannon
