Hello Lynn and Joan,
You are as welcome as can be at planDisney! Thanks for bringing your question to us about ringing in the New Year at
Walt Disney World Resort.
Being a
Pixie Dust Annual Passholder is a magical treat that I’m sure you are enjoying. Since December 31 is one of the
blockout dates for the Pixie Dust Pass, you will need to
purchase another form of theme park admission if you wish to experience any of the theme parks that day. For 1-day tickets for a specific date and theme park, your Park Reservation will be made “automagically,” but since New Year’s Eve can be a busy day at Walt Disney World Resort, I encourage you to purchase your ticket soon.
Spending New Year’s Eve in
EPCOT sounds like an experimental prototype of a great idea since it will be the final day of the
Disney100 Celebration and with all of the exciting things happening there!
I hope you heard that
Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana will be opening at EPCOT on October 16, 2023! I look forward to exploring this new area within the World Nature neighborhood. It seems like the perfect oasis to do a little wayfinding during your vacation.
And just in time for your visit, a
new nighttime spectacular at EPCOT called “Luminous The Symphony of Us” will debut on Dec. 5, 2023! EPCOT fireworks always fascinate me with their global themes and I can hardly wait to experience this new stunning event over the waters of World Showcase.
I hope I’ve answered your question, Lynn and Joan, and given you some ideas for your day at EPCOT. Please stop back by and let me know if you have other questions or if you would like some more tips for enjoying your time.
Wishing you a magical new year ahead,
Shannon
