Hi! We will be visiting Jan 9 - 15 and was wondering what you recommend for transportation from the airport to Disneyland. Thank you!

A very warm welcome to you, Christine, on behalf of all of us here at planDisney! I'm so excited to hear that you're planning a visit to Disneyland Resort in just a few weeks. I'll be happy to help.

I imagine you may be flying into the Southern California region from your home airport. Depending on whether you will be arriving into Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), John Wayne Airport (SNA), or other airports in the region, I have a few recommendations for you. I suggest starting with the "Getting Here by Plane" page on the official Disneyland Resort website. I always find it helpful to reference in advance of a trip. In my family, we often pre-book a shuttle service if we are traveling with a large group because we find it easier to have these ground transportation logistics secured in advance. You can often find airport shuttle providers with a simple web search, but I have personally used both Karmel Shuttle and Lansky with positive experiences. However, if I'm traveling solo or with just a few family members, we often utilize rideshare services which have pick-up areas that are clearly marked at the airports, usually outside the baggage claim areas so you can easily collect your luggage and head on your way! Unfortunately, in my experience, you can't pre-book these rideshare services directly from the airport, but you can often advance-schedule the return trip to the airport from your hotel or the theme parks, if you prefer. I like to do this because it ensures that I have a confirmed return trip and we can plan our departure day's itinerary around a guaranteed pick-up time.

Christine, there are some other ground transportation options that you may wish to consider, including public transit, taxicabs, and rental cars. In fact, if you opt to rent a vehicle, there is an Enterprise® Rent-a-Car facility (along with partners National® and Alamo®) on-site at Pixar Place Hotel. The Disneyland Resort website also includes some recommendations on arriving by car, if you're interested in reviewing parking and directions in advance.

I hope these suggestions have been helpful to you, Christine. If we can assist with any other guidance in the meantime, please don't hesitate to drop by planDisney again soon. I wish you and your loved ones a spectacular time at 'The Happiest Place on Earth!'

    Magically yours,
    Tishra
