Hi, Zoe! Welcome to planDisney!
I'm so excited to hear that you'll be visiting
Walt Disney World Resort during the
holiday season! It truly is the most wonderful time of the year! During the holiday season,
Magic Kingdom Park closes early on select nights to host the separately ticketed event,
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. During Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party,
Minnie's Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks takes place at 10:00 p.m. On those special party nights,
Happily Ever After is not performed.
If you're hoping to catch a fireworks show on December 21 and you're not attending Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, there are some great places to view the fireworks from outside the park. On the fourth floor of
Disney's Contemporary Resort, you'll find an observation deck with gorgeous views of Magic Kingdom Park. The beaches at
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and the marina area of
Disney's Grand Floridan Resort & Spa also offer spectacular fireworks views. All of these locations are open to the public, and the show's soundtrack is even piped in to add to your enjoyment.
Zoe, I hope that this information is helpful as you plan for your trip. If you have any other questions, please feel free to
stop by planDisney again at any time. We'd love to help you have a happy holiday season and a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
See ya real soon!
Samantha
