Ready to begin, Mateo? Welcome to planDisney where we let the wonder take hold.
Happily Ever After is my favorite nighttime spectacular at
Walt Disney World Resort. My pro tip is to have some tissues ready!
I checked the
Magic Kingdom Park calendar for the week starting December 17 and see why you might need clarification about the show’s schedule. Since your visit will be during the holidays, your plans might overlap with the after-hours Christmas party, so let’s look at how you can
check that calendar.
On your computer, hover over the Parks and Tickets tab at the top left of your screen. Click the blue “More Hours” link under Park Hours to select your visit dates. If you’ll be there for more than one day, I suggest toggling to select “5-Day View” at the top right. You can also sort to view only the hours and events for Magic Kingdom Park.
I can see on the calendar that
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is scheduled for December 17. Magic Kingdom will close to regular guests around 6:00 PM because the specially ticketed party begins at 7:00 PM. On party nights, no Happily Ever After fireworks show is scheduled, so that’s why you don’t see it listed.
I hope you’ll be around December 18 because I have good news. There isn’t a party that day, so Magic Kingdom will be open to all guests until 9:00 PM, and Happily Ever After will light up Cinderella Castle at 8:00 PM. You can also catch the show on December 20.
If you’re looking for an absolutely magical way to spark a dream, I recommend booking a
Happily Ever After Fireworks Cruise. The highlight of this experience for me was watching the show as the waves gently rocked us. Snacks and soft drinks are provided, and you do not need a theme park ticket for this experience.
Mateo, I’m sending pixie dust and the courage to fly so you’ll find a way to enjoy Happily Ever After on your upcoming visit. I can feel my heart beating faster just thinking about it! Please stop by
planDisney anytime.
Magic awaits,
Elaine
