Hiya Vicki! Welcome to planDisney!
The holidays are such a wonderful time of year to visit the
Walt Disney World Resort! Many of the parks and resorts are decorated beautifully for the season, with festive décor all around. You'll usually find some tasty treats and special merchandise all across the Magic Kingdom.
Unfortunately, I don't come bearing the best news. On nights that the Magic Kingdom is not hosting
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, the special holiday firework display and the "snowfall" over Main Street, U.S.A. is not part of the evening. In order to experience each of these, you'll need to attend the Christmas party during your stay.
If a "snowfall" is what you are looking for, stop by Town Center in Disney Springs for a special treat. Throughout the night, "snow" will fall from above to the delight of all Guests visiting. My daughters had the best time running around trying to catch each flake. This happens right next to the centerpiece Christmas tree and creates a magical winter wonderland.
Vicki, if you happen to be visiting from Christmas Day to New Year's,
Minnie's Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show is scheduled to take place on select nights during that week. This is the only time this show will be available outside of the special ticketed event.
I hope this information helps you plan for your stay, Vicki! Have a magical time!
See ya real soon!
Greg
