We are visiting Disneyland on New Years Eve for my child's 21st Birthday. Just wondering would we be able to go back to our hotel for a nap in the afternoon and then come back to the park for the evening? I read that we might get locked out. Thanks

Welcome to planDisney, Lisa! From all of us on the Panel, we want to wish your daughter an early happy 21st birthday! For a milestone birthday like this one, there is no better place (in my opinion!) than to celebrate at the Happiest Place on Earth. She will have the best birthday ever!

One of my family's tips we tell people who are interested in planning a vacation to a Disney theme park is that you should always go back to your resort room in the afternoons for a quick nap, or dip in the resort pool. We are a family of "rope droppers" (meaning we are at the parks bright and early at opening) and try to get as much done in the morning before lunchtime. Then we return to our resort and hang out until early evening and finish what we haven't completed right before the fireworks. Because you are planning on visiting on New Year's Eve, that is a tricky one, because the parks are very crowded this time of year. I would suggest not going back to your resort for too long, in the event that you could not be allowed to re-enter. Check out Lola's tips for ringing in the New Year Disney-style!

Have the most magical time celebrating your daughter's birthday at Disneyland, Lisa!
