Planning on visiting Disneyland Resorts in California, December 2022 through New Years Day. I would like all information about this holiday and any restrictions or things we should know.

    Hi there, J!

A trip to Disneyland Resort during New Year’s Eve sounds like a dream come true! Here are some things you should know.

    • New Year’s Eve is still during the holiday season at Disneyland Resort, so the gorgeous holiday decorations and lights will still be available for your enjoyment.
    • New Year’s Eve is the only day where the resort typically stays open until 2AM. Therefore, I recommend you schedule some time in the late afternoon or early evening to rest up for the fun night ahead.
    • New Year’s Eve typically has two firework spectaculars – one at around 9PM and a second to ring in the new year at midnight. It’s worth the effort to find a nice spot either in front of the castle or even near the Rivers of America for one of the shows.
    • Lastly, New Year’s Eve is one of, if not the busiest, day of the year for the Disneyland Resort. I recommend that you and your party purchase Genie+ that day. It will save you time waiting in line for select attractions.
Have a blast celebrating the start of 2023 in the Happiest Place on Earth. And should you need more tips, I hope you come back to planDisney.

    Best wishes,
    Lola
