I am happily married to my Star Wars loving husband, and I am the proud mom of two princesses. My husband's career in the military has given us the chance to experience life in different states, and we currently reside in the Tarheel state, which is just a car ride away from The Most Magical Place on Earth! As a military family, you're constantly dealing with busy days, and family time is so important to us. There is no better way to spend time together than at Walt Disney World Resort, grabbing a Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar and taking a stroll down Main Street, U.S.A. We have experienced Walt Disney World without children and with our girls, and no two trips have ever been the same. We have experienced many firsts here, from my oldest daughter's first haircut at Harmony Barber Shop, to accepting my first teaching job standing in line at Pirates of the Caribbean. Some of our favorite Disney activities include a pool hangout day at our favorite resort, a meal with characters, and watching the fireworks in the evenings with dessert and a view of Cinderella Castle!
About My Family
My husband and I met in our Senior English class in high school and have been living our happily ever after for almost 14 years. My husband took me to Walt Disney World for the first time for our first wedding anniversary, and once that glass slipper went on, life was never the same! We are the happiest parents to our two princesses, and also the proud parents to our two four-legged babies, Chewbacca and Sansa. Family is the most important part of my life, and vacationing at Walt Disney World together has created the most magical memories for us. I'll never forget our daughter's first trips, smiling wildly at Mickey Mouse, and watching them discover who their favorite princesses are. These days, our favorite "must do" each trip is trying out a new restaurant or snack item, and reading all about the new and exciting attractions and events on the Disney Parks Blog before each visit helps us plan that adventure.
About My Disney Experience
As a child of the 90s, I grew up with the magic of the Disney Renaissance, falling in love with each film that was released. We amassed a collection of whose its and what's its galore with every VHS and DVD release, but surprisingly, I never went to a Disney park as a child! It wasn't until I was an adult when my husband took me to Walt Disney World Resort for our first wedding anniversary that my love for all things Disney grew. Every visit since then has been magical and with unique "firsts", from my daughter's first visits, to accepting my first teaching job standing in line at Pirates of the Caribbean, and visiting Walt Disney World with my sister, who is also a planDisney panelist! Walking down Main Street, U.S.A. and visiting the Partner's Statue never gets old, and is a "tradition" with each visit. I have been to Walt Disney World on adults-only trips, with my children, and with friends, and sharing the magic of each visit with your loved ones, no matter how many times you visit is an experience that never gets old. Fun fact: Walt Disney and I share the same birthday!
