Hi Makenzie, welcome to planDisney!
You’ve got great taste, I love a good meal at the
Blue Bayou in New Orleans Square. It’s always a treat dining at the Disneyland Resort.
I wish I could tell you if the restaurant will be open, but unfortunately Mama Odie is the only one with that kind of good voodoo magic! What I can share is that your arrival date is still during
Holidays at the Disneyland Resort, and typically January refurbishments happen once the holiday season ends. For reference, holidays will come to a close on January 6, 2025.
Dining reservations at the Disneyland Resort are first-come, first-served and based on availability. The window for reservations opens up 60 days in advance, and you can make reservations through the Disneyland website or through the
Disneyland app. You will also need a credit card to guarantee the reservation in advance, and if you don’t cancel within two hours you may be charged a per person fee. If you’re feeling lucky, you may be able to join the mobile walk-up dining list, which is a same day reservation as soon as a spot opens up.
Since you’re arriving during the final days of holidays, I recommend checking out all the merry fun that the parks have to offer, including enjoying the treats and novelty items! At Disneyland Park, I love watching A
Christmas Fantasy Parade and the nightly snow on Main Street, U.S.A. One of my favorite things to do is grab some hot chocolate to take in all the sights, sounds, and festivities. When I’m ready to try new food and beverages from different cultures, I head over to Disney California Adventure Park to experience
Disney Festival of Holidays!
Hope this information was helpful, Makenzie. I am sending loads of pixie dust that you’re able to secure reservations. If you have any other questions before your visit, feel free to
send another message!
Magic awaits!
Camille
