I am visiting Disney world soon and will need access to a track for my collegiate training while I am there. Is the ESPN complex available for me to train on? If not, what is the nearest track available to Disney properties?

    Hi Grace,

Welcome to planDisney! As a recreational runner who often participates in runDisney events, your skills and commitment to training as a collegiate athlete are admirable!

Unfortunately, the Track and Field Complex is only available for use by athletes participating in events hosted at the ESPN Wide World of Sports. If you are staying at a Disney Resort hotel, you might consider using a treadmill available in the Fitness Center, or one of the outdoor running trails around the Disney Resorts

If you’re looking for a public track, I recommend reaching out to an Orlando running store to see if they know of any locations available. Sometimes local schools allow public access to their tracks, but it’s important to reach out to confirm, especially if the school is in session during your visit.  Another suggestion is to ask your collegiate coach if they have any contacts in the Orlando area that will allow you to use their facilities.

I’m sorry this wasn’t the answer you were hoping for, Grace. I applaud you for looking for ways to stay in peak physical condition during your Walt Disney World Resort vacation! We’ll be here for you at planDisney if you need any other help planning your upcoming visit.
