Hi Damian and welcome back to planDisney! I admire your commitment to fitness, especially while on a
Walt Disney World vacation! Like you, I like to fit in some strength training or some morning runs before rope dropping the theme parks. Now, let’s get pumped and answer your question about
fitness centers!
As you may be aware, Walt Disney World generally only offers fitness centers at Deluxe Resorts, so you won’t find one at
Disney’s Pop Century Resort. But don’t fret! I contacted the
Walt Disney World Disney Swan and
Dolphin Resorts to inquire about day passes for Walt Disney World Resort guests. They confirmed that they do offer day passes, however they only sell them through a third-party retailer online. I suggest doing an Internet search of day passes for Walt Disney World Swan or Walt Disney World Dolphin Resorts to find these day passes.
Damian, let’s talk about parking information and transportation logistics. If you have a car, you will still have to pay for parking at the Swan and Dolphin Resorts. My search of the day pass shows that it offers a discounted parking rate. If you don’t have a car, there’s no direct bus or
Skyliner transportation to the Swan or Dolphin from Pop Century. The best way to utilize Disney transportation will be to take the Skyliner to the EPCOT station and walk to the Swan and Dolphin Resorts (just think of it as a warmup jog before your workout!). You’ll want to account for all that travel time though to assess whether all of this is worth your time.
Finally, don’t forget that there are other options to fit in a workout during your vacation. For Resort stays where no fitness centers are available,
I’ve often recommended outdoor runs or doing bodyweight workouts in your hotel room. Also, don’t forget about all those steps you’ll be taking in the theme parks!
Damian, I hope this information satisfies your thirst for knowledge on fitness center access at Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resorts. If you have any further questions about your upcoming vacation this holiday season, please feel free to
contact me and my fellow panelists here at planDisney!
Your pal,
Sean
