Hey there, Larry!
Welcome to planDisney and thanks for dropping by with an excellent
Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question. It sounds like your thrill-filled trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth is nearly here - how exciting! I'd be happy to help you navigate the virtual queue option in the My Disney Experience mobile app.
Larry, the
virtual queue is a great way to experience the most popular attractions while limiting your wait times. At the time of writing, Tiana's Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom Park and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT are offered via virtual queue. Virtual queue spots become available at 7:00 a.m. on the dot on the day of your visit, so have your fast fingers ready to go just before that time. Before it's time to enter the virtual queue, make sure that you've connected all members of your travel party via the
Family & Friends functionality in My Disney Experience. This will ensure that everyone can be included in your boarding group (pending availability).
Try not to worry if you miss out on the 7:00 a.m. virtual queue "drop," Larry. You'll have another opportunity to join the virtual queue at 1:00 p.m.! The caveat here is that to join during this afternoon timeslot, you'll need to be physically present within the theme park that houses the attraction you're trying to experience (Magic Kingdom Park for Tiana's Bayou Adventure or EPCOT for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind). Additionally, Guests staying at a Deluxe Resort hotel, Deluxe Villa Resort, or other select hotels will have the opportunity to join a third virtual queue timeslot at 6:00 p.m. on nights when
extended evening theme park hours take place.
Larry, I hope I've addressed some of your questions about the virtual queue option at the Walt Disney World Resort, but if you have additional questions, please feel free to
follow up with me directly or revisit us here at
planDisney anytime. We're here to help you make the most of your time at The Most Magical Place on Earth!
See ya real soon,
Lauren
