What app should I download to make dinner reservations and reserve times for rides, etc?

    Hiya Pal!

Welcome to planDisney!  When it comes to planning, there is one app that does it all - the My Disney Experience Mobile App!  I'm happy to share a few of my favorite features of the app that I use regularly both before and during my trips to the Walt Disney World Resort.

Before your vacation begins, you can use the My Disney Experience Mobile App to purchase or link tickets and to view or link your resort hotel reservation.  I really like the cute countdown in the app which is visible when you click "Hotel Reservations" after your stay has been linked.  From the Hotel Reservations page, you can complete Online Check-In too.  This simple process asks you to enter and/or confirm a few important details and then you'll be ready to utilize Disney's Direct-to-Room Service on your arrival day!  If you have any MagicBands that need to be linked to your account, you can do that from the app as well.  No MagicBands?  Hakuna Matata!  You can use the app to create a Disney MagicMobile Pass so you can access your tickets directly from your mobile device when it's time to enter the parks or tap into Lightning Lane selections.

You can also use the app before your arrival to make advanced dining reservations.  For the best selection, it's important to note when your reservation window opens and book early!  In the app, you can click the "+" sign from the bottom navigation bar and then select "Check Dining Availability."  After entering your details and running a search, you can also check availability for a single restaurant over multiple days of your stay!  Once you're in the parks, your app is a handy tool as well when it comes to dining.  Our family likes to use Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering to save time on our vacations.  You can also check walk-up availability for Table-Service restaurants in the app.  If you have one of the dining plans offered, you'll be able to view your remaining meal balances with your resort hotel information once you have arrived for your stay.

When it's time to hit the parks, your app allows you to unlock the phenomenal cosmic power of Disney Genie and Disney Genie+ service.  On the app, you can easily view wait times, purchase Disney Genie+, make Lightning Lane selections, buy Individual Lightning Lanes, join Virtual Queues and so much more!  You can also manage your Family and Friends List for easy planning with a group!

This is just a small sampling of what the My Disney Experience Mobile App can do!  If you have any other questions, please stop by to see us again at planDisney!

    Cheers,
    Kristi
