We are going to Vero Beach Resort next week and would love to participate in the mixology class that is offered. Do we need advance reservations or can we reserve the class when we check into the resort?

Welcome Home, Page! Thanks for making a return trip to planDisney. It's always so fun when someone decides to be our guest on more than one occasion! It looks like you are in the process of packing your bags for a summer getaway to Disney's Vero Beach Resort that begins in just a few short days. Time is of the essence, so let's get right down to business!

If you haven't visited Vero before, you are in for a treat. It's an elegant coastal resort with all sorts of activities for Guests of all ages to enjoy. I love the location on the Atlantic Coast--it's a perfect spot for a more relaxed vacation, complete with the enchanting sea turtles who make their nests on the beach between April and September.

Page, I spoke to a Cast Member at the resort who shared that you can book spots for the mixology classes beginning on your arrival day when you check in. She said typically the class begins at 3:30 PM, so you should plan to make reservations by 2:30 or so. It sounds like a wonderful way to toast the start of a beautiful trip!

When you're not mixing up fancy drinks, there's so much to see and do around the resort. Let me share a few of our family's favorites!
    • You can learn more about the aforementioned sea turtles (really, they are the coolest!) each day from the Cast Members who work with the conservation programs. They usually start their day bright and early around 7:00 AM and are a wealth of information--you may even get to see some turtle nests!
    • Take a dip in the pool! The resort's feature pool has a fantastic waterslide and whirlpool spa and even features a pirate-themed play area for little ones.
    • Visit the on-site spa for some extra pampering--you're on vacation, after all! They offer a wide range of treatments to help you feel relaxed and rejuvenated. Advance reservations are suggested, so you may want to call the resort before you arrive this week.
Well, Page, I hope this time next week you are relaxing with your toes in the sand and all sorts of mixology knowledge in your head! Thanks again for stopping by planDisney, and please reach out again anytime if there are any other last-minute questions we can help with.
