Welcome Home, Odell! Thanks so much for making a return trip to planDisney--and from across the pond, as well! Your arrival at The Most Magical Place on Earth is just a few weeks away and I am sure you and your family are so excited. Let's dive right in to find an answer to your aquatic query!
Your 'Ohana is going to have an unforgettable adventure experiencing not one, but TWO amazing
Disney Vacation Club resorts. What lucky granddaughters! Odell,
Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows is also our family's Home Resort--I first stayed at the Polynesian on my very first visit to
Walt Disney World Resort with my own wonderful grandparents!
At this time, the Lava Pool and the leisure pool at the Polynesian are not open to Guests staying at other resorts. But don't fret! The
Sandcastle Pool at
Disney's Old Key West Resort is fantastic, and I can tell you from my own experience traveling with our girls that your kiddos will LOVE it. The pool features a 125-foot waterslide that actually passes through a giant sandcastle, as well as a kiddie pool and sand beach that I am certain your littlest princess will adore. There are also three leisure pools around the resort so you can enjoy some on-property pool hopping!
At both Old Key West and the Polynesian, there are all sorts of fantastic recreation offerings, from games and music by the pools to movies under the stars and campfires with s'mores! Be sure to check out the calendar of events posted at each resort for the most up-to-date information.
Odell, I hope you and your family have the most wonderful Disney adventure--there's nothing like experiencing Walt Disney World through the eyes of little ones! If I can help with any other questions before your July arrival, please don't hesitate to
reach out directly. Thanks again for visiting planDisney!
Just Keep Swimming!
