Shannon,
Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!
I love
Disney's BoardWalk Inn! It is so close to two parks but also offers a wonderful evening exploration space with dining, shopping, and family-friendly entertainment. You will love it too.
One of the great perks of staying at the BoardWalk Inn is that you have two of the four theme parks so close by. You are a short walk away from
EPCOT (less than 1/3 of a mile), and you can either boat, walk, or ride the
Disney Skyliner to
Disney's Hollywood Studios. Each is convenient to reach, and the travel is both fast and scenic as you make your way to your daily adventures.
As for both the
Magic Kingdom and
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, you do need to catch a Disney bus from your resort to these parks, but the travel time is not as bad as you might imagine, and typically you will see a bus to any given destination arrive at your hotel within 20 minutes, any time of the day. The bus rides typically take about 20 or 30 minutes, respectively. But usually, the rides are noticeably shorter than that.
BOARDWALK BONUS TIPOpening sometime in 2024 on
Disney's BoardWalk will be the
Cake Bake Shop Bakery by Gwendolyn Rogers. You may say,
"Cake? Big Whoop?" But trust me, I live a quick 10-minute drive away from one of her shops here in Indiana, and it is a delicious indulgence!
