Welcome Home, Victoria! Thanks so much for visiting us at planDisney--I'm so glad you decided to be our guest once again. It looks like you're planning your next Disney adventure, and I'm happy to help explain how the
Waitlist process works for
Disney Vacation Club stays.
One of my favorite aspects of DVC Membership is the ability to stay at many different resorts when we travel. Although we love our Home Resort,
Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows, we have had amazing vacations at many of the DVC resorts. Earlier this year, we stayed at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas, and our next trip "Home" is booked for
Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa!
Sometimes the exact resort, dates, or type of accommodations you want aren't available when you make your plans. This is where the Waitlist feature comes in. You can simply select the "Waitlist This Entire Stay" option when you search for your booking on the Member website. Members may have up to two active Waitlist requests per Membership, per Use Year. For your situation, you can use both Waitlist requests for the same dates. If one comes through, the other one will automatically be canceled.
Victoria, keep in mind that it's best to request your Waitlists as early as possible. Your requests also need to match your booking window. For me, since my Home Resort is the Polynesian, I can only create a Waitlist request for that resort at the 11-month mark. I can request any of the other DVC resorts up to 7 months in advance.
Hopefully, this information is helpful! I'll be wishing on the Evening Star that one of your Waitlists comes through and you can enjoy a dreamy DVC vacation at the resort you're hoping for. Thanks again for stopping by planDisney, and come back anytime if you have additional questions we can help with.
Stay Magical!
Susan
