Hi Christine!
Welcome to planDisney! I love all modes of Walt Disney World transportation, and
Minnie Vans are included. I don’t usually use ride-share services in my daily life, but maybe that’s because there isn’t a red car with white polka dots and a Minnie Mouse emblem waiting to take me to a Disney theme park!
Let’s talk about the Minnie Van options. The
Accessible Minnie Van will seat five people and has two spaces for mobility devices. The Guest using a mobility device can stay in the device during the ride. If a car seat is needed, one complimentary car seat is available, which will occupy one of the five seats. The maximum capacity of an accessible Minnie Van is seven Guests. The
standard Minnie Van can seat up to six Guests. This option has two complimentary car seats available if needed.
Since you have two double strollers, it sounds like you may have four children in your travel party. I don’t believe two double strollers will be an issue since you only have one mobility device in the Accessible Minnie Van. However, a standard Minnie Van and an Accessible Minnie Van would not have the number of car seats you need for your group since the standard includes two car seats and the Accessible Van includes one car seat.
Since I am not familiar with non-Minnie Van ride-share services, I don’t know if you could request another ride-share with a car seat. What I do know is that the complimentary
Disney Transportation options are all very easy to use and are accessible for strollers and mobility devices. Since you’re traveling with a large party, I suggest allowing for extra travel time so you can try to get on the same bus or
water transportation together.
I hope you have a wonderful visit to Walt Disney World, Christine! If you choose to use the Minnie Van during your visit, don’t forget to select “Access. Minnie Van” on the Lyft app to request the Accessible Minnie Van if you’re using it to travel with a mobility device. If you have any more questions, come back and see us again at
